Manish Sisodia meets his lawyer a day after being released from Tihar jail – World News Network

New Delhi [India], August 10 (ANI): Manish Sisodia, accompanied by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Sanjay Singh and Atishi, met his lawyer, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, at his residence on Saturday, a day after being released from Tihar Jail.
Earlier today, Sisodia, along with several AAP leaders, visited Raj Ghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. He also visited Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place where he offered prayers.
After prayers, he expressed hope that Arvind Kejriwal would also be released from jail like him.
“Lord Bajrang Bali has blessed me. Arvind Kejriwal also has the blessings of Lord Bajrang Bali, and you will see that Kejriwal ji will be blessed in the same way,” Sisodia added.
Early this morning Sisodia took to social media to share a photograph of him having his morning tea with his wife. Sisodia captioned it the “first tea of an independent morning.. after 17 months!”
“The freedom that the Constitution has given to all of us Indians as a guarantee of the right to live… The freedom that God has given us to breathe in the open air with everyone,” he said on X in Hindi.
Sisodia was released from Tihar Jail on August 9 after the Supreme Court granted him bail in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.
The order was delivered by a bench of justices BR Gavai and KV Viswanathan. The court also imposed various conditions including surrendering the passport and not influencing witnesses.
In February 2023, Sisodia was arrested by the CBI for alleged irregularities in the framing and implementation of now-scrapped Delhi’s new excise policy.
The policy was withdrawn amid allegations of foul play by the opposition.
According to the CBI, Sisodia had played the most vital role in the criminal conspiracy and he had been deeply involved in the formulation as well as the implementation of the said policy. (ANI)
