“Look in the mirror…”: NCP (SCP)’s Jitendra Awhad hits back at Amit Shah’s remarks – World News Network

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 22 (ANI): Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) leader Jitendra Awhad hit back at Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his “mastermind of corruption” remarks on Sharad Pawar.
“I will just say that if you just look in the mirror, if you look in the mirror, the faces of all the people who attended your conference and joined the cabinet will be clear. And then you decide who is the leader of the corrupt people,” Awhad said on Monday.
“Are the ministers made by your NCP innocent? Put them in your washing machine and wash them with your special washing powder. Later, clean them and take them out,” he added.
Earlier on Sunday, Amit Shah, while addressing the Maharashtra BJP conclave in Pune, launched sharp attacks on Sharad Pawar and accused him of “institutionalising” corruption.
“They (the opposition) are speaking about corruption. The biggest mastermind of corruption in Indian politics is Sharad Pawar and I have no confusion about that. What will they accuse us of now? If somebody has done the job of institutionalising corruption, Sharad Pawar, it is you. And you are accusing us of corruption?” Shah said.
On Shah’s remarks on Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, Awhad said, “Look, it is like that; they are not getting it in their hands. The second thing is clear: if someone has taken care of and nurtured what is called Hindutva, then it is his grandfather, whose name was Prabodhankar Thackeray. The whole of Maharashtra knows about his Hindutva and our Uddhav Thackeray is following him, so it is very easy to say that this is Aurangzeb’s this. That is it. It is very easy to say.”
Shah, in his speech, also targeted Uddhav Thackeray, “Maha Vikas Aghadi is an Aurangzeb fan club. This Aurangzeb fan club cannot ensure India’s security. Uddhav Thackeray is the leader of this Aurangzeb fan club. This fan club cannot make Maharashtra and India safe. It’s only the BJP that can ensure the safety and security of all.”
“Uddhav Thackeray shares his meals with people involved with Kasab, he supports PFI and stands against renaming Aurangabad as Sambhaji Nagar,” he added. (ANI)
