“Gwalior connected to Bengaluru, will take only 30 hrs to reach”: Jyotiraditya Scindia on launch of weekly train – World News Network

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 27 (ANI): Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia hailed the newly inaugurated Gwalior-Bengaluru weekly train, stating that it has significantly eased travel for passengers.
“Gwalior has been connected to Bengaluru… People had to go to Kota or Bhopal via an 8-hour journey and wait there for another 8 hours. It took 36 hours to reach Bengaluru. Today, the same route has become convenient, and it will now only take 30 hours to reach Bengaluru directly,” he said.
He highlighted that students who want to study in Bengaluru can easily reach there. Additionally, youth who wish to reach Bengaluru for a job, or even parents who want to see their children, can also use this train to get there.
“Gwalior is changing and progressing under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Prime Minister Modi. Much development work is underway, and several new train connections have been established from Gwalior to various parts of the country. Additionally, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, a MEMU train is running from Gwalior to Kolaras, and in the coming days, it will be extended to Sheopur. After that, efforts will be made to take it to Kota,” Scindia said.
Meanwhile, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted that the service will facilitate easier and more comfortable travel for students, IT professionals, and traders from Madhya Pradesh to Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
In a post on X, Vaishnaw stated, “For the first time, a train originating from Gwalior to Bengaluru has started. Now, it will be easy and comfortable for students, IT professionals, and traders from Madhya Pradesh to travel to Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.”
Scindia flagged off the Gwalior-Bengaluru direct train from Gwalior Railway Station on Thursday and also travelled in the train.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw virtually joined the program and flagged off the train on the occasion. (ANI)
